HOW IT WORKS

VPL is the next generation in effective hair removal and skin rejuvenation technology. As technology has progressed, research has shown that pulsed light, and in particular, variable pulsed light regularly produces the best results. They work by emitting light across a range of wavelengths that are preferentially absorbed by the appropriate structure in the skin. Each shot of light comprises a sequence of rapid pulses

These variable pulses ensure more controlled absorption whilst minimising heating of the surrounding skin.

This means that a greater range of hair and skin types can be safely and effectively treated than was previously possible.

For skin rejuvenation - various structures absorb this light and improve the damage caused by ageing and the sun.

How many treatments are required
Only about 25% of the follicles in any area are in the appropriate stage for treatment at any time and each follicle has slightly varying cycle times, so it is usually necessary to undergo at least fi ve treatment cycles, sometimes as many as eight, in order to treat all of the active follicles.
